Lisa is principal and creative director for Kliman Design. She is a creative, strategic thinker who understands the importance of blending and balancing business and branding goals. Before starting Kliman Design in 2004, Lisa worked for 17+ years in both agency and in-house design and marketing departments targeting high tech business and the insurance and financial worlds, as well as consumer kids+ family audiences. She has experience in business to business marketing, channel marketing and consumer marketing. She has broad creative experience across collateral, web, environmental, exhibits, branding and corporate design guidelines, event concepting and design, POP/retail campaigns, art direction of photography, sweepstakes, licensed characters, toy and game development/design and product packaging. Lisa has extensive experience in the conceptualization, management and art direction of large, location lifestyle photoshoots and in technical product photography and the associated post production. In this roll, Lisa has been a key player in the art direction of one of the world’s largest technology leader’s worldwide photographic library.
Her experience over the last number of years includes senior art director or creative director roles, leading design teams to deliver visible projects for high tech leaders at CES, Oracle Open World, Comdex and more. She has been an integral part in delivering the necessary strategic and creative thinking behind enormous product launches. She knows the challenging business of bringing brands together and has created heavy-hitter co-marketing pieces for a world wide technology leader and BEA, HP, Microsoft, SAP and Sony. Lisa has helped lead retail merchandising campaign teams into new directions in modular messaging and templates and look and feel.
Her high tech experience also includes various product groups from servers, desktop, business, channel groups, notebooks, 2/1, mobility, digital health, consumer products, solutions groups, high tech medical and more. As part of her trusted advisor role with some high tech clients, Lisa has been invited to consult with sister advertising agencies about brand and design directions, and review and deliver design and standards for corporate communication suites and systems. In addition to her most recent work with Global Tech Leader, Global Tech Leader Security, McAfee, Lumenis and Varian Medical Systems, Lisa has experience with AMN Health-care, BEA, Burger King, Carl’s Jr., Day’s Inn, Denny’s, Experian, Little Caesars, local medical practices, Lumenis, McAfee, Mind and Body Pilates, Pacific Life, ProAnox, Proctor & Gamble, Seagate, Sears, Silicon Graphics, SMASH Gyms, Sony, Taco Bell, Tal Global, USB, Varian, Visa and XO Jet. Her philanthropy has found her designing for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation’s successful holiday card program and their large fund raising events, local school auctions and fund raisers, Amor GROW, and award-winning materials for the Girl Scouts of America.
